In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and pet owners by delivering compassionate, efficient, and thorough veterinary services. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive top-quality treatment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. If you thrive on making a difference in animals' lives and enjoy working during the evening shift, this opportunity is perfect for you! Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis. Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning kennels, and monitoring patient health status. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, polishing, and radiography. Handle animals safely using proper handling techniques for dogs, cats, and other small animals; ensure animal comfort and safety at all times. Operate radiography equipment to obtain high-quality X-ray images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgeries and procedures to prevent infection; ensure all equipment is sterilized and properly maintained. Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to manage multiple animals efficiently. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care protocols. Experience with pet grooming, dog training, and animal handling to facilitate smooth clinical operations. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and veterinary equipment including X-ray machines. Excellent animal restraint skills combined with pet care expertise to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Ability to communicate effectively with team members about patient care plans and treatment progress. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices and experience working in an emergency or fast-paced setting.
