Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the comfort and health of our beloved patients. Your expertise will help create a positive experience for pet owners and their animals, fostering trust and confidence in our practice. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, including radiology diagnostics and laboratory work. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary protocols. Conduct venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion, and vascular access procedures to facilitate diagnostic testing and fluid therapy. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory analyzers with precision. Support critical & intensive care units by monitoring animals under anesthesia or in emergency situations using aseptic techniques. Maintain detailed records using veterinary software, documenting procedures, treatments, and patient progress clearly and thoroughly. Experience Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background is highly valued. Demonstrated veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary anesthesia. Hands-on experience with dental terminology and procedures related to pet dental care. Familiarity with laboratory procedures including diagnostic radiology, radiology diagnostics, and veterinary laboratory work. Experience in emergency medicine or critical care settings involving pet care or veterinary emergency care is preferred. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and animal catheterization are essential for success in this role.
