Oasis Animal Wellness is a small animal practice located in Thousand Oaks, dedicated to whole-patient care. We specialize in rehabilitation services and focus on long-term wellness and quality of life for our patients. We also are a hybrid practice, offering both mobile services and in-clinic care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including surgeries, dental cleanings, and diagnostic tests Perform animal restraint and handling with care to ensure safety for both animals and staff Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status Take and process X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary terminology and animal physiology knowledge Support pet owners by providing education on pet care, post-operative instructions, and preventive health measures Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices for emergency situations Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis techniques Proficient in animal restraint techniques ensuring safety during examinations or treatments Excellent animal handling skills combined with compassionate pet care practices Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and pet owners Experience with or a desire to learn about rehabilitation and integrative care Adaptable in both clinic and mobile settings Come be a part of something brand new and gain experience in rehabilitation and patient wellness!
