Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing pet dental cleanings under veterinarian supervision. Handle X-ray procedures with precision while maintaining strict safety standards for staff and animals alike. Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and providing compassionate animal care during recovery or hospitalization. Contribute to team efforts by training new staff on animal catheterization techniques, animal anatomy knowledge, and restraint methods. Skills Proven experience working with animals in a veterinary or pet care setting; kennel experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to support clinical tasks effectively. Skilled in dog handling and animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations or procedures. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis for diagnostic purposes. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices and equipment used in emergency situations. Experience with dental terminology and procedures related to pet dental health management. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for surgical preparation and infection control measures. Competence in operating X-ray machines safely to produce clear diagnostic images. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners about animal care needs.
