Job Description

Feline only clinic in Waterloo/Cedar Falls area looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Technician who LOVES cats to join our team! We have digital radiography, dental radiology, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, grooming services, and unique cage-free boarding suites with web cam access.

(In-clinic experience required) The core duties and responsibilities you may perform are including but not limited to: Performing diagnostic tests Technician appointments including giving subcutaneous fluids, antibiotic injections, and blood draws. Educate clients on feline health care, nutrition or behavior. Assisting with surgeries/sedation procedures Clean, maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment. Preforming dental radiography and prophylaxis Monitoring anesthesia and recovery Performing full body digital radiography Restraining cats

  • for blood draws and medication administration, and exams Detailed record keeping Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the clinic (including cleaning suites, cages, and litter boxes) Answering phones and scheduling appointments Filling prescriptions for patients Helping in any other capacity necessary Able to lift up to 50 pounds Working a rotating weekend schedule - minimum of one weekend a month •required•

$15.50 - $20.00 per hour
