Balance Veterinary Center is located right in the heart of Rockville, adjacent to the Rockville Town Center. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team and help us deliver outstanding patient care within a vibrant, holistic practice. This role offers a rewarding 4-day workweek with no weekend shifts, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to support our mission of healing through integrative therapies.
Duties Patient Care:
Assist the veterinarian with outpatient exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
Technical Duties:
Perform essential veterinary skills, including blood draws, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and digital radiography.
Client Communication:
Educate and communicate compassionately with clients regarding pet care, medications, and treatment plans.
Clinic Upkeep:
Maintain clean, safe, and organized treatment and surgical areas. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a veterinary technician with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment management. A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a passion for integrated animal care.
