! Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, sample collection, and processing for diagnostic testing Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and radiology devices with confidence Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols accurately Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical assistance and sample collection to prevent infections Monitor animals under anesthesia during surgical procedures and assist with recovery processes Support emergency medicine efforts by providing critical care and assisting in urgent procedures Document all veterinary procedures accurately within veterinary software " "shepherd" system and maintain detailed patient records Skills Experience with dental terminology, veterinary anesthesia monitoring, IV insertion, vascular access, phlebotomy, and animal catheterization techniques Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint, radiology diagnostics and pet care procedures Familiarity with veterinary surgical assistance, medical equipment operation, laboratory work, and critical & intensive care practices Ability to perform veterinary laboratory work including blood tests and diagnostic sample analysis Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to pet owners Knowledge of appointment management Capable of working efficiently in a high volume general practice with occational emergencies -Join us in delivering top-tier veterinary care! Pay:
$11.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
