Job Description

About Us:
We are a busy, well-established mixed animal veterinary practice caring for dogs, cats, livestock and other species. Our team is dedicated, collaborative, and passionate about animal health and client education. We are investing in new technology, diagnostics, and treatments options to continually improve our patient care. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, pays attention to detail, and enjoys being an important part of a small veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments for small (90%) and large animals(10%). Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, and radiography Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures Provide nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients Handle and restrain a variety of species safely and effectively Educate clients on animal care, medications, and preventative health Maintain accurate medical records Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment and exam areas Perform dental cleaning and utilize ultrasound skills routinely (not required)
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of veterinary technician experience (mixed animal preferred but not required) Veterinary Technician Certification/Licensure (CVA or LVT) Strong technical and animal handling skills (both small and large animals) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, can prioritize tasks without needing constant direction Must be able to work in a busy environment

Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
