Veterinary Emergency and Specialty of Tidewater (VEST) is a privately owned, state-of-the-art hospital. If you are looking to grow with a company that has a VEST ed interest in you, look no further! Therefore, we are committed to ensuring an excellent return on that investment by offering a collaborative work atmosphere, profit sharing, and optimized scheduling, among other things. Currently there is an opportunity for a full-time Day Triage or Support LVT. Emergency or urgent care experience is required, however, new graduates and LVTs eager to expand their skill set that have emergency, speciality or urgent care experience prior to licensure are encouraged to apply. This position offers support and mentorship from board-certified criticalists. Primary responsibilities include collaborating with doctors and assistants to facilitate excellent patient care, performing in-house diagnostics, maintaining an extensive triage and icu caseload, client communication and education. Strong interest in anesthesia is required. Our hospital is equipped with CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, hi-flow O2 and a separate ICU complete with Synder unit.
Schedule Full Time:
3x12hr shifts (6a-6p) that include every other weekend (Sat/Sun) OR 4x9hr shifts (7a-4p) that include every other weekend Rotating set quarterly schedule 3-4 holiday shifts a year required to best serve our community needs Benefits (offered based on employment status and longevity, in accordance with plan terms) Hourly pay commensurate with experience Employee pet discount Professional development assistance Uniforms provided Profit sharing & 401k 80+hrs of PTO Requirements Valid and active VA LVT license Minimum 1yr experience in ER or Urgent Care Triage Minimum 2yrs experience in a high volume general practice that treats urgent care or emergency cases Team oriented & dedicated to embracing our core values High level of interest in customer service and the ability to genuinely communicate with our clients, fellow team members and patients.
