Job Description

HVAC LEAD INSTALLER POSITION SUMMARY
The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for leading a team of Installers to complete the installation of residential HVAC equipment according to the standards set forth by General Air Conditioning and Plumbing. As a lead member, you will guide a team to install heating, air conditioning, ventilation and as well as accessories. They oversee the work of Installer Associates and Install Apprentices to ensure work is performed correctly. They communicate with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

OBJECTIVES
Leads a team to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer's home. Installs heating, air conditioning, ventilation, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturing specifications. As needed, performs limited diagnostics Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and duct fittings and sheet metal as required. Performs start-ups on air conditioning and heating systems and other components. Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Effectively communicates with customers regarding questions, concerns, and problems. Promotes General's products and services to the customer. Responsible for delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation work. Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are properly maintained, and accounted for Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defective warranty parts to branch, and orders/replenishes vehicle stock as needed. Responsible for keeping installation vehicles clean both inside and outside in keeping with the company's professional image. Completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner. Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns
COMPETENCIES
Great customer service skills- must be friendly and approachable, good communicator and professional. High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work. Strong time management skills Ability to problem solve to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems for installation and repair. Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 4 years experience with installing residential heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as related accessories EPA Certification required Must possess valid state driver's license and clean driving record NATE Certified, Indoor Air Quality, and Sales Experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking Must be able to lift at least 50lbs Will be in proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations Employees may be exposed to moderate levels of noise and wildlife - birds, rodents, etc. (living and/or dead) Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting Work in high or elevated places Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential requirements
