Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Join the Team at Animal Samaritans Animal Samaritans is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who love them. We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing veterinary team. Position Summary Our Registered Veterinary Technicians perform a wide range of clinical and client care duties in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and is committed to delivering high-quality medical care with compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams and treatments Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs Prepare patients for surgery and treatment Collect and process laboratory samples Provide hospitalized patient care and monitoring Take and process radiographs (x-rays) Administer medications and treatments Perform laser treatments Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care Maintain accurate medical records Utilize proper animal handling and restraint techniques Support daily hospital operations and teamwork initiatives Qualifications Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or eligible to become certified Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Emergency or specialty medicine experience is a plus Strong communication and client service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and computer skills Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Willingness to continue learning and pursuing professional development Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods Flexibility to work occasional weekends and varying shifts based on hospital needs Benefits Animal Samaritans offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid holidays, PTO, and sick time Employee discounts on veterinary services Employee recognition programs Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth Why Animal Samaritans?
