Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings with enthusiasm. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for order processing and cash handling. Prepare food items following safety standards, including scooping ice cream, serving cones, cups, and other menu items. Manage cash register transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling and basic math calculations. Upsell additional products like sundaes, milkshakes, or specialty toppings to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food preparation stations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards. Assist with food prep tasks such as cleaning utensils, stocking supplies, and bussing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions promptly and ensuring a positive experience from start to finish. Experience Previous experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with quick service or fast food restaurant operations enhances your ability to thrive in this role. Basic math skills are essential for cash handling and retail math calculations during busy periods. Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus but training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety procedures and sanitation standards ensures a safe environment for both guests and staff. Previous restaurant or café experience helps build the foundation for delivering top-tier customer service in a fast-paced setting.
