Job Description
The
CAC & MDT
Program Supervisor facilitates a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to child abuse investigations. As supervisor of the Children's Advocacy Center program, this role is directly responsible for managing direct client services, prevention services and quality management. This role works closely with law enforcement, child protective services, the State's Attorney's Office, medical and mental health professionals, victim advocates, and other stakeholders to ensure best practices in investigation and treatment while centering the needs of the child. EDUCATION andEXPERIENCE
1) Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. 2) A minimum of 3-years of supervisory experience required, previous experience working with individuals experiencing trauma preferred. 3) Experience in and commitment to building and supporting trauma-informed programs committed to equity, inclusion and advocacy. 4) An understanding of trauma informed care, multiculturalism, family systems and knowledge of community resources preferred.QUALIFICATIONS
1) Ability to relate to staff in a professional manner 2) Positive cooperative attitude. 3) Willingness to serve as an advocate for children's rights. 4) Willingness to travel between Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. 5) Possess a valid driver's license in the State of Illinois. 6) Access to a vehicle in good mechanical condition and maintain insurance. 7) Must believe in and demonstrate a team concept of management. 8) Experience in high stress environments and utilization of self-care practices. 9) Bilingual/Bicultural (English and Spanish) preferred. 10) Must perform job duties independently, proactively, and with a variety of people in a team setting requiring significant self-direction/self-management skills and the ability to be flexible in an unstructured environment. 11) Skills in providing crisis intervention services to families. Training or experience working with victims of trauma, individuals with disabilities and those with mental health disorders. 12) Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal and collaborative skills. 13) Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and experience in using data collection platforms. 14) Must be willing to work outside normal hours including nights and/or weekends when necessary. 15) Must pass a thorough criminal background investigation.RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Responsible for the daily operation of CAC programs, including being accessible to clients and direct service staff for crisis management, safety planning, interventions and follow up. 2) Manage, supervise, motivate and lead a high functioning team of trauma informed employees. Including, coordinating all hiring and on-boarding of personnel in partnership with the Executive Director. 3) Manage staffing and services of all emergency, after-hours and weekend referrals. 4) Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to monitor program evaluation, including data collection, survey analysis, and maintenance of client database/tracking system. 5) Monitor case flow to ensure comprehensive, coordinated response and seamless service delivery, and effective multidisciplinary team (MDT) case review meetings. 6) Coordinate and participate in regularly scheduled MDT case review meetings. 7) Set agenda for case review, notify participants, ensure all relevant information is shared and discussed, and summarize the decisions and action plans of the MDT. 8) Develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with member partner agencies/MDT member organizations. Identify and eliminate barriers that may exist to ensure program success. 9) Draft program reports and narratives, in coordination with the Executive Director. 10) Ensure the facility, equipment, and supplies are adequate, safe and comfortable for clients, staff and MDT members. 11) Oversee professional training requirements and opportunities which promote the professional development of CAC employees and MDT members. 12) Have an essential understanding of National Children's Alliance standards and implementation of best practices. 13) Accurate and timely data entry and tracking of cases, maintaining appropriate documentation of services provided. 14) Provide follow-up services after the initial contact, including ongoing, regular contact until Child Network concludes its involvement with the case. 15) Compile and complete all required forms, online database entries, and grant reports. 16) Coordinate with other community-based organizations as needed. 17) Consistently demonstrate professional behaviors and leadership skills that are in support of the vision, mission, and philosophy of Child Network at both the organizational and personal level. 18) Follow agency policies and procedures. 19) Maintain credibility and integrity of organization. 20) Must have ability and flexibility to work outside normal working hours when needed. 21) Perform all other duties as assigned.
