Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial cleaning standards. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas. Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report any maintenance issues. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing methods. Familiarity with commercial and industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
