Location:

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated professional to lead our JV Girls Basketball team for the 2026-27 season. We are looking for an individual who can foster a competitive and supportive environment while helping athletes develop both on and off the court. This is a part-time, category II stipend position. The season begins on Monday, November 30th, 2026, and runs through the end of February. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage the JV Girls Basketball program, providing specialized instruction and skill development to high school athletes. Foster a positive and inclusive team climate using strong leadership and organizational skills. Collaborate with the coaching staff and athletic department to ensure program continuity and alignment with school goals. Ensure all safety and educational protocols are followed to support student achievement and well-being. Maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, and the school community regarding program expectations and goals. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Demonstrated experience in basketball, either through previous playing or coaching roles. Proven ability to motivate high school-aged athletes and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness and teamwork. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with the broader school community. A commitment to inclusivity, helping to develop an environment that represents and welcomes all students and families.
