Job Description

Overview Job Overview This position will be responsible for and/or assist in activities related to the identification, evaluation, and advancement of growth opportunities across the organization. Responsibilities may include performing planning, analysis, economic evaluation, coordination, sequencing of work, and documentation in support of strategic growth initiatives, including but not limited to incremental capacity, supply opportunities, market-driven initiatives, and alternative growth concepts. The role will plan, perform, and/or conduct a diverse range of analytical and coordination tasks and projects, relying on established growth processes, guidelines, commercial and technical understanding, experience, innovation, and judgment, both independently and with group support and evaluation. This role will support growth initiatives from early intake through evaluation and transition, ensuring appropriate follow-through, coordination of inputs, and readiness for review and decision. The position will clearly present the results of research and analysis while maintaining appropriate supporting detail and documentation, and will communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, including engineering, operations, commercial, finance, and regulatory teams, as well as directors and executive leadership. The position may cross into new areas of technical, commercial, or market specialty over time, consistent with individual development and organizational needs. Orchestration & Alignment:
  • Coordinate inputs, materials, and follow-ups across cross-functional stakeholders supporting growth initiatives
  • Track actions, owners, and timelines to ensure growth work progresses in alignment with established processes
  • Support preparation for cross-functional meetings by consolidating inputs, documenting outcomes, and distributing follow-ups
  • Identify misalignment, missing inputs, or dependencies and elevate them for resolution
Evaluation & Structuring:
  • Support Gate 0 growth evaluations by gathering information, organizing inputs, and preparing structured work products
  • Document assumptions, risks, alternatives, and supporting rationale in alignment with established templates and standards
  • Assist in framing evaluation materials to ensure readiness for internal review and decision forums
  • Maintain organized documentation and version control for growth-related analyses and materials
Standards-Oriented:
  • Execute assigned work in accordance with established growth processes, procedures, and governance requirements
  • Ensure work products are complete, accurate, well-documented, and suitable for review
  • Support compliance with internal controls, review protocols, and documentation expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, or efficiency in existing growth processes and raise them appropriately

  • Apply focused effort toward assigned workstreams while maintaining attention to quality and alignment
  • Progress work steadily by managing tasks, priorities, and follow-through within defined expectations

Qualifications Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Sales, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 0-2+ years of experience supporting commercial, customer-facing, project coordination, or business initiative work in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured thinking to evaluate and support growth-related initiatives
  • Experience collecting, organizing, and synthesizing qualitative and/or quantitative information from multiple sources
  • Experience coordinating inputs, tracking actions, and supporting follow-through across multiple stakeholders or workstreams
  • Experience communicating data, analysis, and concepts clearly and professionally to individuals at varying organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with customers or external stakeholders in a professional setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or related software
Valid Driver's License Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting growth-related, commercial, customer-facing, or project-based initiatives
  • Experience working directly with customers, counterparties, vendors, or external stakeholders
  • Exposure to commercial or economic evaluation concepts (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, scenario evaluation, basic financial concepts)
  • Experience preparing summaries, exhibits, or materials for leadership, director, or executive review
  • Familiarity with regulated, capital-intensive, or infrastructure-focused industries
  • Demonstrated interest or engagement in the natural gas industry, such as participation in industry organizations (e.g., Southern Gas Association or similar), conferences, committees, or professional networks
  • Coursework, certification, or progress toward certification in areas such as: Project Management, Business or Commercial Analysis, Sales, Marketing, or Customer Engagement disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional groups
