Job Description

Required Education
  • High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred Education
  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or another technical fieldRequired Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data
  • Ability to evaluate, collect, and accurately record laboratory data
  • Comfortable working with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices and protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while working in a laboratory environmentPreferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Experience performing mechanical, electrical, or thermal properties testing
  • Experience documenting and presenting laboratory findings using charts, tables, and presentationsLaboratory Technician Overview
  • The Laboratory Technician will support laboratory testing activities under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist
  • This role involves performing mechanical, electrical, and thermal property testing of thermal interface materials and coatings
  • The technician will organize and perform experiments using established laboratory procedures and protocols
  • Responsibilities include collecting, evaluating, documenting, and reporting test data accurately and efficiently
  • The role requires maintaining detailed laboratory records and preparing summaries of findings using computer-based tools such as spreadsheets and presentations
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a laboratory setting with toxic chemicals while adhering to all laboratory safety standards and procedures
  • The position requires strong attention to detail, initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently throughout daily laboratory operations
  • This is a 6-month assignment and is not expected to extendJob Duties
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coatings
  • Evaluate, collect, and record laboratory data
  • Organize and perform experiments using established procedures
  • Summarize and report experimental results in laboratory notebooks and presentations
  • Enter and maintain data, charts, and tables using computer software
  • Communicate project results and testing details effectively
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and experimental protocols
  • Work under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist while demonstrating initiative and independence.
Comments/Special Instructions
  • 6 month assignment, not expected to extend
