Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure lush, healthy turf. Maintain landscapes by planting, watering, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs with precision and care. Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and excavators to perform landscaping tasks efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including weed control, mulching, and soil preparation to promote plant health. Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and irrigation systems to enhance outdoor aesthetics. Assist with snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for properties. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance. Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and maintenance. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly preferred. Familiarity with landscaping techniques including tree care, pruning, mowing, and hardscape installation. Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus. Knowledge of horticulture principles and irrigation systems to support plant health and water management. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects as needed. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to property upkeep and safety procedures.
