POSITION SUMMARY
The Landscape Spray Technician will be responsible for applying and documenting landscape chemical treatments for weed and pest control to support optimal plant health. This role operates as part of the Maintenance team and contributes to environmentally responsible practices that align with Pacific Landscape Management's values and sustainability initiatives.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling and applying pesticides and plant nutritional products (including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, horticultural oils and soaps, fertilizers) according to label and safety procedures. Identifying and diagnosing pest control needs in assigned landscape area. Recording all applications into activity reports according to all applicable laws, regulations and departmental policy and practice. Providing proper care, maintenance, and storage of spray equipment. Safely handling, transporting, storing and disposing of all chemical products and containers. Maintaining current Washington state certifications for licensing, as required. Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Pacific Landscape Management, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performing other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS 21
years or older. Ability to legally work in the U.S.Required:
1-3 years commercial / residential landscape maintenance experience. 1-3 years: Pesticide Applicator experience.Required:
State of Washington Driver's License with good driving record.- Ability to communicate in English. Bi-lingual is a plus.
- Must be able to follow instructions given by crew Foreman or site Manager.
- Must have basic PNW plant identification.
- Must have the ability to perform manual labor, raking, mulching, weeding, planting, debris pick up and removal.
- Must be able to work well with others and be part of a team.
- Must be able to identify problems on the properties and take steps to resolve issues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing for extended periods, walking frequently, crawling and sitting. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Ability to see at close vision, distant vision and in color. Able to extensively handle and move materials and perform physical activities— Using hands, arms, legs in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.- Ability to work extended hours and in inclement weather.
- Frequent twisting at the torso and bending at the waist.
- Must be able to crawl on hands and knees on uneven ground.
- Must be able to safely use power tools, picks and shovels.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:
