Job Description

FOSTER PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE
Adoptions Department Full Time (Various days, hours, weekends and holidays as needed)
Pay:
$20.00 hourly Are you someone who enjoys helping animals? Come join our team!! Our Foster Program Representative will have the opportunity to oversee and manage animals that are currently in the foster program at the Helen Woodward Animal Center. As a liaison between foster families, the adoptions department and other departments within the center, our Foster Program Representative will be able to make a positive difference in the world in a professional role that is central to our mission of helping animals and people locally, nationally and across the world. As a Foster Program Representative, you will gain experience coordinating with potential foster families via email, Facebook and by phone to provide high quality foster homes for incoming animals. You will ensure that all foster volunteers are well-trained by providing on-site training for new foster volunteers, maintaining training materials and effectively conveying Center policies and protocols. Maintaining compliance and professionalism are key in this role. This position would be well suited for a person who enjoys collaborating professionally with others and is well-organized, as our Foster Program Representative will be responsible for record keeping and maintaining inventory of foster program supplies and outreach. REQUIREMENTS FOR FOSTER PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE
Prior supervisory experience including responsibility for training staff and/or working with Volunteers Previous Customer Service skills Confident Public Speaking experience Four months prior animal handling experience preferred with basic understanding of animal husbandry & behaviors. At least 21 years of age with a good driving record As this position may require occasional driving duties, employee must possess a valid Driver's License and have had for at least 3 years. Employee must complete a Driver Information Form and provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance. Helen Woodward Animal Center is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in any HWAC building or vehicle.

% of this job is conducted indoors under normal office conditions and 40% outdoors.
