Crossing Guard Supervisor - Supervise Lemont & Hazel Crest, IL Lead Our School Crossing Guard Team for the Upcoming School Year! Crossing Guard Services LLC is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Crossing Guard Supervisor to oversee daily crossing guard operations in Lemont and Hazel Crest, Illinois . This position is responsible for supporting crossing guards in both communities , so applicants should be comfortable traveling between the two locations. If you enjoy working outdoors, leading a team, and making a positive impact on your community, we'd love to hear from you. Schedule Approximately 2 hours each morning Approximately 2 hours each afternoon Split-shift schedule during the school year Responsibilities Supervise and support school crossing guards in Lemont and Hazel Crest . Travel between both communities to conduct site visits and ensure guards are following established safety procedures. Provide on-the-job coaching, guidance, and training to crossing guards. Fill in as a crossing guard when needed to cover absences or vacancies. Monitor traffic and pedestrian activity to ensure safe crossings. Communicate professionally with school administrators, law enforcement, parents, and the public. Respond to employee questions and operational issues throughout the day. Report safety concerns, incidents, and traffic issues to management. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating crossing guards as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and client requirements. Qualifications Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly between Lemont and Hazel Crest. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to interact professionally with employees, school officials, law enforcement, and the public. Ability to make sound decisions in safety-sensitive situations. Basic first aid knowledge is preferred. Prior supervisory, public safety, security, traffic control, education, or municipal experience is a plus.
