The Town of Collierville is hiring for a School Crossing Guard to join our Police Department team! Working as a School Crossing Guard , you can expect to control traffic and pedestrians in such a manner that school children are not endangered when crossing the street/intersection. You will coordinate and time the stopping of traffic in such a way as to not cause congestion; determine which traffic problems must be alleviated first; and alleviate school congestion whenever possible. You must also caution/report drivers who violate school crossing or pedestrian rights-of-way and be responsible for regularly checking caution signs/signals at designated points before going on duty and at the end of each shift. School Crossing Guard :

High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) month related work experience and/or training; OR Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
