The Town of Collierville is hiring for a School Crossing Guard to join our Police Department team! Working as a School Crossing Guard , you can expect to control traffic and pedestrians in such a manner that school children are not endangered when crossing the street/intersection. You will coordinate and time the stopping of traffic in such a way as to not cause congestion; determine which traffic problems must be alleviated first; and alleviate school congestion whenever possible. You must also caution/report drivers who violate school crossing or pedestrian rights-of-way and be responsible for regularly checking caution signs/signals at designated points before going on duty and at the end of each shift. Minimum Requirements Here is what you must have to be considered for the position of
School Crossing Guard :
High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) month related work experience and/or training; OR Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Valid Driver's License Must receive special in-house training programs in traffic control. What's The Next Step?
