Join our team as an Engineer II in Global Compliance Engineering! You will play a critical role in enabling global market access (GMA) for Shure's industry-leading audio, wireless, conferencing, and networking products. Working closely with product development teams from concept through launch, you will combine engineering expertise, regulatory strategy, and hands-on testing to help deliver compliant, market-ready products to more than 100 countries worldwide. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating across engineering teams, and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical product solutions. This role is based in our Niles, IL headquarters and will be hybrid. Responsibilities Coordinate global regulatory approvals and certifications for new and existing products
Identify applicable requirements and certification pathways for target markets during product development
Develop compliance plans and certification strategies that support product launch schedules
Track certification activities with external laboratories, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies
Maintain compliance records, approval documentation, and technical files for assigned projects
Participate in design reviews and milestone reviews to identify compliance risks early
Provide guidance on safety, EMC, RF, wireless, labeling, documentation, and market access requirements
Plan, coordinate, and perform pre-compliance evaluations to identify risks before formal certification
Support formal testing related to EMC, product safety, RF/wireless, and energy efficiency requirements
Review test reports and resolve technical issues identified during certification activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
3+ years of engineering experience in Global Market Access (GMA), Regulatory Compliance, EMC, RF/Wireless Engineering, Product Safety, Product Development, or a related engineering discipline
Working knowledge of global regulatory certification processes and compliance documentation
Understanding of EMC principles, product safety requirements, wireless communication systems, and RF fundamentals
Ability to interpret technical standards, test reports, regulatory requirements, and product documentation
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Preferred
Experience supporting global market access programs for electronic or wireless products
Knowledge of wireless technologies such as wireless microphones, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, antenna systems, RF modules, and spectrum regulations
Familiarity with certification programs or regulatory frameworks such as FCC, ISED, CE/RED, UKCA, ANATEL, KC, NCC, RCM, MIC, IEC, EN, or CISPR standards
Knowledge of environmental or material regulations such as RoHS and REACH is beneficial
Experience working with third-party test laboratories, certification bodies, or international regulatory partners Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry's top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $82,300 to $131,700, with a midpoint target. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
