North Miami, FL Job Details Part-time | Internship $15 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication Writing skills Schedule management Attention to detail Document review Organizational skills Law office experience Legal research databases Productivity software Legal case management Full Job Description Law Clerk Keystone Law Firm, P.A. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented law clerk to assist attorneys with a diverse caseload involving civil litigation, family law, probate and guardianship, real estate, and other general litigation matters. This position provides hands-on experience with substantive legal work and exposure to all stages of a case.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct legal research and prepare concise research memoranda on Florida and federal law. Draft and revise pleadings, motions, responses, notices, discovery requests and responses, and other court filings. Assist with drafting correspondence, demand letters, settlement documents, and client communications. Review and summarize case files, court records, discovery, contracts, financial records, and other documents. Prepare case chronologies, hearing outlines, exhibit lists, and other materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial. Assist attorneys with discovery, including organizing documents, identifying relevant evidence, and preparing discovery materials. Monitor court dockets and assist with tracking filing deadlines, hearings, discovery obligations, and other case deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and other parties as appropriate. Assist with probate and guardianship filings and administration. Perform factual investigations and public-record research related to active matters. Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure documents and correspondence are properly saved to the appropriate matter. Provide general litigation and case-management support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited law school. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced small-firm environment. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while recognizing when attorney guidance or approval is necessary. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms. Prior law firm, litigation, or legal internship experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is dependable, responsive, comfortable taking ownership of assignments, and interested in gaining meaningful practical experience rather than performing exclusively administrative work.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
