Start with an excellent salary of $23.30-$27.39 (based on experience), with shifts on a 12.25-hour rotating schedule . Overtime (1.5x pay) possibilities are endless!

SALARY RANGE
$51,947 - $61,066 (Estimated Annual Salary) On a case-by-case basis, Master Detention Deputy positions may be available for applicants with prior corrections, law enforcement, military experience, or advanced education. Master Detention Deputy hiring salary - $61,489.61 to $71,611.54. If you're a veteran, our program is approved by the VA for the GI Bill . We'll even help you apply for your benefits. Minimum Qualifications To get started, you'll need to be: At least 18 years old and a U.S. Citizen A high school graduate or have a GED; Qualified applicants with a college degree may receive enhanced compensation. A South Carolina licensed driver; or the ability to obtain a South Carolina driver's license Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable). Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement). No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers. No student loans in default status. Must pass background checks Must successfully complete the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy's Basic Detention course of instruction within the first year of employment.
