The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney who has a genuine desire and drive to try cases in front of juries. not The right candidate will work directly with the firm's principal, Christian Petronelli, and will serve as second chair in jury trials . This type of trial experience is increasingly rare for junior attorneys. If you are serious about becoming a trial lawyer and want to develop your craft representing employees against corporations, this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Must be self-motivated and hard working Manage an active caseload of plaintiff employment matters from intake through resolution, including cases that proceed to trial. Assist in all phases of litigation: pleadings, written discovery, depositions, law and motion, pre-trial preparation, and trial. Serve as second chair at jury trials , with increasing responsibility as experience grows. Take and defend depositions of witnesses, parties, and experts. Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial testimony. Develop and refine case strategy in collaboration with supervising attorney. Qualifications Active California Bar license in good standing. Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience required; plaintiff employment law experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated interest in trial work and courtroom advocacy. Strong legal research and writing skills. Exceptional interpersonal and client communication skills. Ability to manage a demanding caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
