Job Description

Bankruptcy File Opener Codilis & Associates, P.C. is seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy File Opener to join our Bankruptcy Department. This position is responsible for processing bankruptcy referrals and notifications, opening bankruptcy files, completing conflict checks, and ensuring all information is accurately documented and processed within required timeframes.

Responsibilities:

Process and review bankruptcy referrals and notifications. Open bankruptcy files within the required 24-hour timeframe. Review bankruptcy filings and court dockets. Place foreclosure files on hold when a bankruptcy is filed and notify the appropriate team members. Complete conflict checks and ensure related information is accurately documented. Accurately docket dates, documents, and other case information. Monitor client websites throughout the day for new referrals and bankruptcy notifications. Prioritize daily work based on deadlines and urgency. Identify and immediately communicate urgent referrals and upcoming deadlines. Maintain accurate records and ensure all referrals are processed. Work closely with the Bankruptcy File Opening Team Lead, Supervisors, and Managers. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required. Related experience preferred. Strong computer skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Typing speed of 45 WPM preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong numerical aptitude.
