Job Description

Family Law Paralegal

Minneapolis, MN Direct-Hire $70000.00 - $90000.00 Onsite Job Description Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join a law firm in Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite work model. The Paralegal's responsibilities include: Assist attorneys with all aspects of family law case preparation and management.

Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, parenting plans, settlement agreements, and court forms.

Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and document management systems.

Coordinate court filings, service of process, and hearing scheduling.

Communicate with clients regarding case status, document requests, and procedural matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Gather, organize, and analyze financial records, tax returns, bank statements, and other evidence relevant to family law proceedings.

Prepare exhibits, hearing notebooks, and trial materials.

Assist with discovery by drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing supporting documentation.

Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, mediators, guardians ad litem, custody evaluators, and other third parties.

Conduct factual and legal research as needed.

Draft correspondence and maintain accurate records of client interactions.

Support attorneys during mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, and trials.

Ensure compliance with court rules, filing requirements, and internal procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
  • Previous experience in family law or a legal environment preferred.
