Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal counsel, conducting research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in various proceedings. Your proactive approach and strong legal skills will contribute to delivering exceptional service and advocacy for our clients across multiple practice areas. Duties Appear in New York State and Federal Courts , including Criminal Court, Civil Court, Housing Court (Landlord-Tenant), Family Court, and Immigration Court (EOIR) . Draft, review, and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, prosecutors, government agencies, and clients. Conduct legal research and develop case strategies. Manage assigned matters from inception through resolution while maintaining regular client communication. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission). 1-2 years of litigation or transactional experience preferred. Experience in one or more of the following practice areas is preferred: immigration, family law, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant, estate planning, employment law, or personal injury. Strong legal research skills using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar platforms. Excellent legal writing and analytical abilities. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills. Bilingual candidates (English/Mandarin or English/Cantonese) are encouraged to apply.
