Associate Attorney At Cumberland, Erly & West we are a Southern Maryland law firm specializing in a broad variety of practice areas, including but not limited to family law, complex civil litigation, trusts and estates, criminal defense and real property. Responsibilities:
Represent clients in legal proceedings, hearings, and mediations Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents Advise clients on legal issues and develop case strategies Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff on complex cases Manage case files and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admitted to the Maryland Bar and in good standing 1-3 years of relevant experience (open to recent graduates with strong internships/clerkships) Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities A commitment to ethical practice and client service Interested candidates should submit a resume and writing sample to John Erly at jerly@cewlawfirm.com.
