The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is a non-profit Tribal health organization designed to meet the unique health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. In partnership with the more than 171,000 Alaska Native and American Indian people that we serve and the Tribal health organizations of the Alaska Tribal Health System, ANTHC provides world-class health services, which include comprehensive medical services at the Alaska Native Medical Center, wellness programs, disease research and prevention, rural provider training and rural water and sanitation systems construction. SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, provides clerical support including but not limited to answering phones, customer service, filing, and processing of paperwork for various departments on an on-call, as needed basis. This position is intended for those of Alaska Native and American Indian descent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties will vary dependent on assignment. Assists in entry-level business office administration and support. Greets and assists customers; answers phones and directs calls. Performs basic filing and file retrieval to include logs, distributes and archives reports. Makes copies and scans and files electronic documents. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
Knowledge general clerical skills. Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices. Knowledge of the Alaska Tribal Health System and the people it serves. Knowledge of applicable computer system software programs and office equipment. Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing various software including electronic spreadsheets and database applications. Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines when required. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. Skill in critical thinking and adaptability.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFCATION
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFCATION
Non-supervisory - No experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to work in patient care areas.
