Job Description

Job Summary We are searching for a paralegal to join our estate planning family to assist in preparing and organizing various legal documents for clients and cases. Their main duties include preparing and drafting legal documents, discussing case details with attorneys, staff and clients, file management and organization, notarizations, and general administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, a candidate should nave experience in determining real property title interests of clients and preparing various title instruments. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a strong estate planning team. The candidate must be familiar with or comfortable learning and operating within a document management program and with have a good working understanding of Microsoft Office programs. The candidate should have experience with case file management. Duties Analyze files and records; Case planning and document prep; Draft legal documents; Communicate with clients; Deed/Title, legal, and general research; Coordinate file processing and organization; Notary duties; Ability to run Stand up Title; File and library management: Maintain communication with Title Companies Qualifications Composure under pressure; Multi-tasker; Hyper-organized; Tea-player mindset Legal writing skills; Refined communication skills; Knowledge of State Bar law; AA or paralegal certification. Draft, proofread, and file legal documents within necessary deadlines E-filing legal documents, and physical court/county filing as needed Answering and directing phone calls, emails and faxes from clients, team members and partners Manage case files and databases, ensuring 100% accuracy and accessibility for all staff for cases for revolving door of clients Coordinate with clients, team members, and other necessary partners to gather information, documents and necessary case documents and details Assist in organizing in client case files including sorting submitted documentation, preparing client binders, attending client meetings to provide real-time support, when needed, and maintaining all client files for open and closed case files. Monitoring case calendars, deadlines, and proactively alerting team members to upcoming deadlines and requirements. Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal ethics standards in all client interactions and document handling. Summarizing cases and preparing reports for team members as documents and case information is returned by clients Drafting legal documents such as Powers of Attorney, Deeds, Wills, Trusts, Affidavits, etc. under the supervision of attorneys Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
