Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support estate planning and probate matters in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role focuses on preparing and managing legal documents related to trusts, wills, and estate administration while helping attorneys maintain organized, efficient case progress. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and hands-on experience with legal case management technology in a client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents for estate planning and probate matters, including trusts, wills, and related filings.
- Support attorneys with probate case progression by tracking deadlines, maintaining files, and coordinating required documentation.
- Manage case information in legal software platforms and keep records accurate, current, and accessible.
- Assist with litigation-related tasks when needed, including discovery support, document organization, and trial preparation activities.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties in a clear and attentive manner to obtain information and facilitate next steps.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support matter development and help attorneys respond effectively to case needs.
- Monitor calendars, court dates, and filing timelines to help ensure matters move forward without delays.
- Contribute to an efficient legal support function while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy. Requirements
- At least 3 years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in estate planning and probate matters.
- Practical experience drafting and handling documents related to trusts, wills, and estate administration.
- Proficiency with legal case management systems, including experience with Clio, WillCounsel, or Abbott Law software.
- Working knowledge of discovery processes, civil litigation support, and trial preparation tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with a high level of professionalism.
- Detail-oriented approach and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
