A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Class action and/or PAGA experience is also a plus. You must be a self-starter who takes initiative, and your document proofreading and formatting skills must be excellent. You must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel. You must know how to electronically file documents with various court venues (including federal court) as well as reserving hearing dates, court reporters, etc. You should be able to handle multiple cases, including keeping them moving forward. Writing, grammar and interpersonal skills must be excellent. We are a casual office and foster a friendly working environment.
