What they do

A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately; Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls; Receiving and sorting daily mail; Restock office supplies and maintain a clean and organized work area; ​Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong client service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
A team player with a positive attitude and be able to maintain a consistently high standard of service and leadership; A self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision as well as take a proactive approach to being team oriented; Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong client service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure; Ability to maintain client confidentiality; Current notary public commission or willingness to become a notary a plus; Spanish speaking a plus.
