Mid Level Opportunity Summary Join a fast-paced employment litigation practice where you'll provide high-level administrative and litigation support to a team of attorneys and paralegals. This is a chance to become an integral part of a collaborative, boutique-style legal team, taking ownership of case progression and court filings rather than being one voice among a large support staff. You'll build hands-on expertise across every phase of California litigation, from filing to trial preparation, in a role where your organization and follow-through directly keep cases moving. Responsibilities Finalize and electronically file documents in California state and federal courts (including PACER, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties) in compliance with applicable rules. Maintain a manual docketing system to calculate, calendar, and track court deadlines, hearings, trials, and depositions. Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence, including tables of contents and authorities. Create and maintain electronic case folders, scanning and organizing documents according to firm naming protocols. Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings while maintaining accurate attorney and paralegal calendars. Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a litigation environment; California experience required. Working knowledge of California and federal court procedures, including manual docketing. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Experience at a small to mid-size (boutique) law firm. Experience working with NetDocuments. Strong proofreading and grammar skills with exceptional attention to detail.
