Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Open new matters and ensure file setup is completed accurately and promptly.
- Prepare, scan, and organize legal forms, authorizations, and supporting documentation for case files.
- Obtain medical records, insurance documents, reports, and other case-related materials from external sources.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to report claims, request policy details, and follow up on outstanding information.
- Draft correspondence for attorneys and legal staff, and distribute documents in a timely manner.
- Maintain orderly physical and electronic client files, including scanning incoming mail into the case management system and routing materials to the appropriate team members.
- Track records, bills, and invoices, including posting charges and organizing documentation needed for case development.
- Assemble supporting materials for demand packages, copy and scan relevant documents, and provide administrative assistance to paralegals as needed.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, file documents for pre-litigation matters, and attend occasional client meetings when support is needed.
- Provide Spanish-language assistance during client or adjuster conversations when applicable and assist with additional office duties as assigned.
