Full-time, in-person A specialist boutique law firm based in Palm Beach County is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team and support a busy practice focused on probate, estate and trust, and guardianship litigation . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled litigation paralegal who enjoys working on complex, high-stakes matters and is looking for a role where they can take ownership of their caseload, work closely with attorneys, and play a key role in the management and progression of litigation matters. The firm represents individuals, families, beneficiaries and fiduciaries in sophisticated disputes, including will and trust contests, fiduciary litigation, elder exploitation claims, guardianship disputes, and emergency guardianship and injunction proceedings. The Role Working closely with the litigation team, you will provide comprehensive paralegal support across a range of probate and guardianship litigation matters. The role will involve significant responsibility for case management, document preparation, court filings, discovery coordination, client communication and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced environment where matters can be sensitive, complex and time-critical. Key Responsibilities Provide professional, responsive and compassionate support to clients throughout the litigation process. Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding scheduling, documentation and procedural matters as directed by attorneys. Assist with new matter intake, including gathering relevant client and opposing-party information and supporting preliminary conflict checks. Assist attorneys with case strategy, pleadings and overall management of active litigation matters. Monitor case progress, deadlines, court requirements and workflow across multiple matters. Manage correspondence, task tracking and case information using Outlook and relevant firm systems. Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic and physical case files. Draft pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, correspondence and other litigation documents. Prepare documents from attorney notes, marked-up drafts and discussions. Proofread and review documents for accuracy, grammar, formatting, citations and compliance with applicable court rules. Prepare exhibits, appendices, tables of contents and other supporting materials. Assist with compliance with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Probate Rules, judicial division requirements and applicable local court procedures. Request and manage court transcripts, certified copies and other official records. Conduct litigation-related court and entity searches as required. Assist with urgent and emergency filings, including petitions relating to emergency temporary guardianship. Coordinate timely service of subpoenas, particularly in connection with emergency hearings. Enter accurate daily billable and non-billable time in the firm's practice management system. Record and code case-related expenses and assist with billing review, pre-bill edits and invoice approvals. Support compliance with firm billing policies and client engagement requirements. About You The ideal candidate will be an experienced litigation paralegal who is confident managing multiple matters, has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable taking ownership of their work.
You will ideally bring:
5+ years' litigation paralegal experience , preferably within Palm Beach County. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery and other litigation documents. Experience in probate, guardianship, estate/trust or fiduciary litigation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of, or familiarity with, the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Probate Rules and Florida Rules of Judicial Administration . Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of written work. Confidence working with sensitive and often emotionally complex client matters. Experience using legal practice and document management systems; experience with Clio, NetDocuments, ShareFile, Asana or similar platforms would be advantageous. A paralegal certification through NALA or a 2- or 4-year degree in paralegal studies is preferred. Florida Notary status is preferred, or a willingness to obtain this within a reasonable timeframe.
