We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys to manage case files, coordinate client communication, draft legal documentation, and keep daily administrative workflows running seamlessly. This individual must be confident, self-motivated, detail-oriented, invested in his/her career with highly developed people skills, and a go-getter attitude. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are required. Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professionally interact with potential new clients, active and former clients, adjusters, physician staff, opposing counsel, and Court personnel
- Maintain, organize, and track case files using practice management software. Ensure case materials are delivered promptly for attorney review ahead of client consults.
- Draft, format, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and court filings.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, manage client intake documentation, and liaise with court clerks.
- Maintain filing deadlines, assist with e-filings, and handle routine office protocols, including updating systems and access credentials per firm schedules.
- Review and synopsize medical records and deposition transcripts
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills are required for accurate and timely transcriptions and document production
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a college degree
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and absolute discretion with confidential information.

Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with legal practice management software is preferred with preference given to Smokeball.
- Proficiency in Zoom, WebEx, and other virtual meeting platforms
- Proficiency with state/federal court e-filing portals
- Experience with the litigation process is preferred but not required
- Legal studies certification is a plus but not required
- Must have a minimum typing speed of 65-75 wpm. Typing test required.
- Notary certification is a plus but not required
- Bilingual or multi-lingual is a plus but not required
- Ability to provide references if requested
