A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Client Relations:
Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and provide professional updates to clients.Organize Physical Files:
Maintain digital and physical case files to ensure documents are easily accessible.Organize Electronic Filings:
Manage MDEC filings, ensuring they are processed and uploaded to the Case Management System and shared with the clients.Manage Calendars:
Maintain and manage the office calendar and track critical court deadlines.Handle Documentation:
Draft, proofread, and e-file pleadings, motions, and general legal correspondence.Draft Documentation:
Draft correspondence and emails to clients and opposing counsel. Draft subpoenas and affidavits.Additional Tasks:
Be willing to take on additional administrative tasks as required. Qualifications- Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Proficient in MS Office Products.
- Experience using legal software or a case management system. Experience using CLIO is a plus but not required.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Some college is preferred but not required.
- At least two (2) years working in a law firm or legal environment.
