Job Description

Overview Drummond & Drummond, LLP is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Assistant to support attorneys in commercial lending, real estate, and corporate transactions . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team. Responsibilities Prepare real estate documents, including deeds, transfer tax forms, and related filings Draft and assemble loan documentation, including notes, mortgages, settlement statements, and closing agendas Gather and review corporate documentation and authorizations required for closings Conduct title review and assist with due diligence Record documents electronically (e.g., Simplifile) Prepare and file annual reports in multiple jurisdictions Obtain UCC filings and related records through Secretary of State systems (e.g., InforME) Compile and organize post-closing binders Communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions Provide general administrative and transactional support as needed Qualifications Prior legal assistant or relevant transactional experience preferred (commercial lending, real estate, title insurance, or corporate law a plus) Basic understanding of legal terminology and documentation Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal/document management systems Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package (health, retirement, paid time off, etc.) Supportive and collegial work environment Opportunities for professional growth and skill development A firm culture that values both excellence and work-life balance
