This role is ideal for a litigation professional who enjoys managing cases from inception through trial, partnering closely with attorneys, and playing a key role in achieving successful case outcomes. This position provides the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and become a valued long-term member of our team. There is strong potential for the role to convert to a regular full-time position for candidates who perform well and are a good fit for the firm. Medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do You will support your own team of attorneys and serve as a key contributor throughout the litigation process.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing and processing records subpoenas and coordinating follow-up with photocopy services Preparing HIPAA authorizations, obtaining signatures, and managing record requests Drafting, e-filing, and serving pre-trial documents Organizing, indexing, and managing litigation documents and exhibits Preparing paper and electronic trial binders Assisting with pre-trial and trial preparation Supporting attorneys through all phases of insurance defense litigation Maintaining deadlines and case calendars What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Paralegal Certificate Minimum 3 years of litigation experience Trial preparation experience Experience working in a tort law environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw Experience with ProLaw or a comparable calendaring/document management system Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff Strongly Preferred Medical malpractice defense experience Insurance defense litigation experience Why Join KMS?
