Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected and growing law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, to identify an experienced Legal Assistant for its busy Insurance Defense practice. The ideal candidate will have prior insurance defense experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing high-level administrative and litigation support. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters. Draft, revise, and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal documents. File documents in Florida state and federal courts, including e-filing. Maintain attorney calendars and monitor case deadlines. Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, client meetings, and conference calls. Open and maintain case files, both electronically and physically. Coordinate with clients, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors. Review, organize, and manage medical records, discovery, and case-related documents. Prepare hearing, mediation, and trial materials. Assist with time entry, expense reporting, and other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a litigation environment. Insurance defense experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Florida court rules, procedures, and e-filing requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Pay Details:
