About the Role PPS is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety execution for mechanical construction projects. This is a hands-on, field-focused role responsible for supporting our project teams, developing and coaching Safety Coordinators, conducting jobsite audits and training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with company, OSHA, customer, and general contractor safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong construction safety experience, is comfortable working directly with field teams, and can build a culture where safety is part of how the work gets done—not simply a checklist. What You'll Do Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with construction site safety regulations and industry standards across assigned mechanical construction projects, jobsites, or division. Supervise, schedule, coach, and support Safety Coordinators. Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, JHA/JSA reviews, and inspections. Support and participate in customer and general contractor safety audits. Lead incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions. Lead safety training sessions for workers and management on topics including safety procedures, occupational health, OSHA compliance, and construction workplace safety regulations and maintain required certifications. Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field employees to identify and address safety risks. Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and communicate significant risks to the Safety Director. Help ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and project-specific requirements. Promote safe work practices and hold field teams accountable for safety expectations. What We're Looking For 4-7 years of construction safety experience. Experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, piping, or a related construction environment preferred. OSHA 30 required.

preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience required. Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA requirements, ANSI standards and jobsite safety. Experience conducting incident investigations, jobsite audits, JHA/JSA reviews, and safety training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with both field and management teams. Ability to regularly travel to and work at active construction jobsites. CHST certification preferred; or are actively working toward certification. What Success Looks Like Safety Coordinators are effectively supported, coached, and held accountable. Field teams understand and follow safety expectations. Jobsite hazards are identified and addressed before they become incidents. Incidents are thoroughly investigated and corrective actions are completed. Required training, certifications, audits, and documentation remain current. Project teams and customers view Safety as a trusted partner in getting the work done safely and efficiently. $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
