  • 9am•5pm• (Monday•Fridays) Education•Degree Preferred Experience•3 Year Pay•$80,000•$100,000 Annually City Line is seeking a Transportation Manager & Occupational Safety Manager for our Food Distribution Warehouse Located in West Haven, Connecticut.
You will oversee and enhance safety protocols across our transportation operations. In this Transportation Safety role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, managing risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within our logistics and freight management teams. In this Occupational Safety role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that promote a secure and healthy work environment across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about workplace safety, possesses strong knowledge of environmental and occupational health regulations, and is committed to fostering a culture of safety compliance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Transportation Safety policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards within transportation processes. Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, transportation safety regulations, and international trade laws. Manage regulatory reporting related to transportation incidents, safety violations, and compliance audits. Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize freight handling, fleet management, and export/import procedures while maintaining safety standards. Oversee customs brokerage management, customs clearance processes, and adherence to customs regulations across different jurisdictions. Utilize global trade management software and Excel data analysis tools to track safety metrics, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement. Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA ( Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental management systems. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and prevent accidents. Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and recommend corrective actions to address safety violations or hazards. Provide training and development programs on workplace safety, hazardous materials regulations, first aid procedures (including CPR), and OSHA compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory standards related to hazardous materials regulations, environmental health, and environmental regulatory compliance. Manage workers' compensation law procedures, coordinate with insurance providers, and support employees through injury claims processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

FMCSA, CSA
Safety Measurement System (SMS) Must be computer literate including excel and word. Must have knowledge of OSHA and HACCP. Must be self-motivated without requiring direction. Must be able to direct others, set processes and procedures related to safety issues. Must be able to complete daily work requirements.
