Job Description

Wellstar Health System seeks an
APP PRN PCCM
to provide advanced practice care in our new Augusta, GA hospital. In this PRN role, you'll assess and manage pulmonary and critical care patients, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe treatments, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams. You'll support patient and family education, safe transitions of care, and documentation excellence while contributing to quality and safety initiatives in a compassionate, innovative, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Provide advanced practice patient care for pulmonary and critical care medicine patients in a hospital setting Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic conditions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform approved procedures Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and care transitions Ensure documentation meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and patient safety initiatives Provide PRN coverage including potential nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Required Skills Pulmonary and critical care management Advanced patient assessment Ventilator management Diagnostic test ordering and interpretation Medication prescribing and management Electronic medical record documentation Acute care and ICU protocols Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Quality and safety improvement
