An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director is responsible for directing the strategic approach to managing the environmental impact of an organization on the surrounding area. Responsible for ensuring that the organization has a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions. Will liaise with directors of other sections of the organization to ensure that strategic goals align with those of the environmental health and safety team.

Position Responsibilities:
The Safety Director directs, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization, implementing short and long-range strategic safety goals, while identifying EHS concerns and recommending solutions This role oversees safety and compliance programs and processes, conducting internal safety location audits and inspections to monitor compliance and effectiveness of company pro You will manage and maintain accident rate statistics while creating and revising new safety programs to maintain safety regulation compliance In this role you will implement and monitor effectiveness of employee safety training curriculum and conduct formal investigations on all major work-related incidents, issuing a report on the root cause and recommending any suggestions Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with 10 plus years of related experience and 6 plus years of leadership experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 13 plus years of specific experience and 8 plus years of leadership experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's Degree
