The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company's environmental, health, safety, and security programs across three manufacturing facilities located in Middlesex, NJ, Bethlehem, PA, and Beloit, WI. Serving as the organization's EHS subject matter expert, this role is accountable for driving a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. The EHS Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, and Plant Leadership to reduce risk, strengthen operational performance, and promote a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility. Reporting to the Head of Plant Engineering, this position develops enterprise-wide EHS strategies, standards, systems, and best practices while providing leadership and guidance to each manufacturing location. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the company's Environmental, Health & Safety strategy across three manufacturing facilities. Foster a culture of safety through visible leadership, employee engagement, coaching, and accountability at all organizational levels. Establish standardized EHS policies, procedures, training programs, metrics, and management systems that drive consistency across all locations. Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators and leverage data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiative. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and workplace safety regulations. Lead site safety audits, compliance inspections, and regulatory interactions while ensuring timely resolution of findings. Maintain environmental permits, required reporting, and regulatory documentation. Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary program updates. Risk Management Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive action processes. Conduct risk assessments and proactively identify opportunities to eliminate hazards before incidents occur. Partner with Operations and Engineering to incorporate safety into equipment design, manufacturing processes, and facility improvements. Oversee contractor safety programs and site security initiatives to ensure a safe environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors. Training & Employee Engagement Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and leaders. Coach managers and supervisors on safety leadership, accountability, and regulatory compliance. Lead safety committees and encourage employee participation in continuous improvement efforts. Promote behavioral-based safety initiatives that strengthen employee ownership of workplace safety. Business Continuity & Emergency Preparedness Lead emergency response planning, crisis management, and business continuity initiatives. Coordinate emergency drills and ensure site preparedness for a variety of emergency scenarios. Maintain emergency response procedures and collaborate with local emergency response agencies when necessary.

Operations to improve safety performance and operational excellence. Engineering to design and implement safer manufacturing processes and capital projects. Human Resources to manage workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and employee accommodations. Quality to ensure compliance within GMP manufacturing environments. Leadership to embed EHS objectives into business strategy and operational decision-making. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience: Building and sustaining a proactive safety culture that engages employees at every level of the organization. Reducing OSHA Recordable Injury Rates, Lost Time Incident Rates (LTIR), and other key safety metrics through continuous improvement. Successfully leading OSHA, EPA, insurance, customer, and internal safety audits. Developing practical, sustainable EHS programs that balance regulatory compliance with operational effectiveness. Leading incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis methodologies and driving measurable corrective actions. Supporting manufacturing organizations operating in regulated environments, including GMP manufacturing. Managing emergency response planning and business continuity programs. Influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority while building strong relationships throughout the organization. Required Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a GMP-regulated environment. Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to travel up to 25% between company facilities. This is an on-site leadership position supporting three manufacturing facilities. The position requires schedule flexibility to support multiple shifts, respond to safety-related incidents, conduct facility audits, and travel between locations as business needs dictate.
