Job Description

Position Summary:
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization's Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the site. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, minimizes operational risk, and supports environmental sustainability initiatives. The HSE manager ensures that corporate guidelines and standardization programs are implemented at the site and oversees the site organization (managers, employees and contractors) to achieve world-class safety performance while maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA and other applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Lead risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and safety inspections. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Monitor safety performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead emergency preparedness and response planning activities. Environmental Management Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements. Manage waste handling, recycling, hazardous materials, air emissions, and water discharge programs. Support sustainability initiatives and environmental performance objectives. Coordinate environmental audits and inspections. Maintain required environmental documentation and records.
