This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can work effectively with employees and managers, maintain regulatory compliance, and help make safety part of how we operate every day. LYCON is a family-owned and operated company committed to quality products, dependable service, and a strong workplace culture. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful company-wide impact while remaining locally based with no overnight travel required. What You'll Do Lead, maintain, and continuously improve company-wide safety programs and initiatives. Conduct facility, jobsite, and operational safety inspections, audits, and site-specific safety planning. Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA, DOT, and MSHA requirements. Investigate injuries, property damage, near misses, and other incidents; determine root causes and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans. Develop and conduct employee safety training and maintain accurate training records. Administer and monitor the company's DOT drug and alcohol program for regulatory compliance. Conduct or coordinate noise and air sampling and maintain related documentation. Maintain required safety records, reports, and compliance documentation. Partner with managers and employees to identify hazards, follow through on corrective actions, and reinforce a strong safety culture. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent relevant experience. At least 2 years of safety-related experience required; construction, ready-mix, aggregate, manufacturing, or industrial experience is especially valuable. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations; equivalent safety certifications are preferred. Familiarity with MSHA regulations is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective training and work with employees at all levels. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage responsibilities independently and follow tasks through to completion. Valid driver's license and good driving record required. Work Environment & Travel This position includes a combination of office and field work and requires travel between LYCON facilities and jobsites as needed. All travel is local; no overnight stays are required. Field work may include exposure to typical construction and industrial conditions, including seasonal temperature changes.
